Add GPS Location Data to Your Photos in Seconds
Geotag your images before uploading them to your website or Google Business Profile. Everything runs in your browser. Your photos never leave your device, and nothing is uploaded to a server.
Set the Location
Search a business address, use your current location, or enter coordinates manually.
SEO Details (optional but recommended)
These do more for your rankings than the geotag itself. The tool builds clean filenames and alt text from them, and embeds the description and copyright into the image metadata.
Add Your Photos
JPEG only. PNG and WebP files cannot store standard EXIF GPS data, so export as JPEG first, then geotag, then compress carefully. Many compressors strip EXIF, so always verify after compression.

This is the location signal search engines actually document and read. Paste it into the page where the photos will live, inside a script tag or via your SEO plugin. Update the image URLs after you upload the photos to your site.
Does Geotagging Actually Help SEO? Straight Talk.
We build this stuff for a living, so here is the honest answer: embedded GPS data is a minor supporting signal at best. Google has said for years that it largely ignores image geo-metadata for rankings, and most platforms strip EXIF on upload. Geotagging will not hurt you and takes seconds, so there is no reason to skip it. But if you only have time for a few things, spend it on the first list below.
What Actually Moves Rankings
- Descriptive filenames and alt text with your service and city
- LocalBusiness and ImageObject schema on the page
- Original photos uploaded to Google Business Profile regularly
- The location relevance of the page the image sits on
- Compressed, fast-loading images (WebP on the site itself)
What Geotagging Really Does
- Adds a weak corroborating location signal, nothing more
- Often gets stripped by Google Business Profile and social platforms
- Never fake it: coordinates that contradict the photo content can hurt trust
- Fine as a two-second checkbox in your upload workflow
